AV Request Details

All Students must contact their Professor, Advisor, or Cornelia Godfrey (Ext. 7401) for an AV Setup. All AV Requests should be made 2 days prior to need. (Otherwise contact the CMC at Ext. 7414) Make an AV Request by clicking HERE.

Computer Services Staff in the Library:

Our support staff, pictured right, are located off the Main Computer Lab in the basement of the Law Library. There, students can get assistance with wireless or laptop problems; the Help Desk will also provide students with updated anti-virus protection.

Equipment in the Library

The library basement is the home of 2 video stations, and 2 combination DVD/VCR players; a microfiche/film reader; and 2 networked printers. One networked printer is on the first floor and another on the second floor.

Computer Labs & Equipment

Workstations and Circulating Laptops:

The library has 40 Windows XP workstations on two floors. Seven of the PC's are in the Lexis lab in the basement, and seven are in the Westlaw lab on the first floor. The labs are occasionally scheduled for training classes; otherwise they available for general student use. In addition, 13 Dell and 3 Mac laptops circulate for three hour periods, for in-library use; students must sign a laptop user policy agreement. Network jacks and wireless access points are available for laptop use on all 3 levels of the library. Both workstations and circulating laptops print to our networked laser printers.

Software available on the PC's:

The following software is available on our PC's: MS Office 2003 (Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel, Publisher); WordPerfect Office 12; Cute PDF; Internet Explorer 7 (Default Browser); Firefox 3; AVG Anti Virus, Acrobat Reader 8, Quicktime Player 7; Real Player 10; Windows Media Player 11; and Adobe Shockwave Player 10; and Sdobe Flash Player 9.

Laptop Loaner program

The library has 13 Dell and 3 Mac laptops available for checkout at the circulation desk to be used in the library for a maximum of 3 hours. Click here to see the Use of Library Laptops. The circulating laptops have the capability to print to our networked printers. Laptops are due back 1/2 hour before the library closes.
